Rocket Ventures’ mission is to actively encourage and support the growth of new technology ventures in the bioscience, alternative energy and advanced manufacturing sectors in Northwest Ohio.

We connect entrepreneurs who are building high growth technology companies in Northwest Ohio with the critical resources they need to succeed. We help them identify high growth opportunities, develop high growth plans and tap into an extensive network of business building resources - financial, technical, marketing, legal and consulting.

Our strategic process logically steps the entrepreneur through four key phases of business development.

The initial application allows entrepreneurs to describe their business opportunity and begins the GETTING STARTED phase. Upon acceptance, the process moves to the ADVISE phase with the Executives-in-Residence (EIR) and Investment Associates working closely with the entrepreneur to develop and refine a strategic business plan.

If the Rocket Ventures team believes that the business plan and management team can deliver a high growth opportunity, the team begins working with entrepreneur to build a strong business case for investment in the ACCELERATE phase. At this point, the entrepreneur will develop a solid investment proposal for presentation to the Rocket Ventures investment committee as well as other sources of capital, such as angel investors or venture validation funds.

Upon approval of the investment committee, the deal is signed and Rocket Ventures team continues to strengthen the entrepreneur’s business case to maximize the growth potential and prepare for follow-on funding in the CAPITALIZE phase.
