Entrepreneurs who are looking to take their technology ventures to the next level should start with Rocket Ventures. A program of the Regional Growth Partnership (RGP), Rocket Ventures was created as a result of a significant commitment to technology business development by the State of Ohio Department of Development through its Third Frontier fund. The Northwest Ohio region was awarded a $15 million State grant, and these funds, along with $7.5 million in private sector investment led the RGP to create Rocket Ventures. This public/private investment is making a real difference in moving innovative ideas and products into the marketplace.

Enhanced Management Services
Rocket Ventures is committed to your success. Our team of experts is ready to offer you the following management services to lead your company to success in the marketplace. As our client we customize a program to meet your needs with hands-on operational and business management services market assessment, financial modeling and planning, management expertise, capitalization, technology readiness, marketing and sales and exit strategy development.
Ignite! Development Fund
Ignite! provides funding of up to $50,000 for client company ramp-up of operations and business-related activities between the imagining and incubating phases of development. These activities include planning, procuring, modeling and demonstrating, and validating. In 2008 ten Ignite! grants were awarded to companies to assist them with marketing analysis and planning, prototype development, beta site testing, and business and technology validation.
Pre-Seed Fund
The pre-seed fund matches the technology-based business opportunities in Northwest Ohio with the right investment capital. It also serves to attract and inject pre-seed capital, and foster related services within the emerging technology development sectors. These funds provide aid in the commercialization, advancement and acceleration of these early stage companies’ products/solutions in the three primary phases of development. The Rocket Ventures investment range is between $250,000 and $750,000.
